30 Years Later, Germany Remains Divided – Austrian Economics Center

Our National Events & Engagement Manager, Katarina Kosmala-Dahlbeck, wrote for the Austrian Economics Center on their project around the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Katarina argues that the fall of the wall represents a huge moment in the fight for liberal democracy, but we can’t forget that political divisions rife across Western democracies have made a home for themselves in Germany as well, thriving off of economic and historical grievances in the east following reunification in 1990.
