Coronavirus wipes out Brits’ trust in Trump’s America – POLITICO

POLITICO quoted recent BFPG research in an article on trust in America, noting that Coronavirus has wiped out Brits trust in Donald Trump’s United States:

The article said:

“Just 28 percent of Britons polled by the British Foreign Policy Group in late April and early May said they now trusted the U.S. “to act responsibly in the world,” down 13 percentage points since January.

The drop was most notable among Conservative Party voters, who were previously more likely to have faith in Washington.

But regardless of their lack of confidence in the U.S., most Brits echoed President Donald Trump’s stance on China, with 83 percent saying they don’t trust Beijing’s intentions in the world (up 4 percentage points).”
