BISA/BFPG Undergraduate Development Day

The BISA/BFPG Undergraduate network was delighted to host the Undergraduate Development Day in Brighton on June 2. The day consisted of a wide range of panels for members, exploring careers, masters degrees, and a keynote speech from Professor Peter Newell, University of Sussex.  We chaired a discussion on careers in international affairs with a fantastic panel chaired by Senior Researcher Jack Pannell. Panellists included:

–  Anuja Desai, Senior Soft Power Analyst, British Council

–  Darren de Souza, Senior Policy and Projects Officer, London Higher

–  Steph Coulter, Policy Analyst to the International Relations and Defence Committee, House of Lords

Students also had  an opportunity to present their research and receive feedback from their peers. Each student prepared a poster of their research and had 5 minutes to present their work to the room and take questions. The student presenters were:

–  Beccie White, University of St Andrews – View here

–  Ciara Muzia, Loughborough University – View here

–  Jasmine Somers, The University of Edinburgh – View here

–  Lucrezia Mariscotti, London School of Economics and Political Science – View here

Many thanks to all who participates, including our brilliant panel and all of the bright students who presented.
