Diplomatic Hour: In Conversation with the Acting High Commissioner of Bangladesh

On the 3rd September 2026, the British Foreign Policy Group was delighted to welcome the Acting High Commissioner of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the United Kingdom His Excellency, Dr M. Nazrul Islam, for a private roundtable conversation as part of our Diplomatic Hour series.

The discussion focused on the direction and priorities of Bangledesh's foreign policy and how it is navigating the geopolitical tensions of today.

We were also delighted to be joined by the Chair of the UK's All-Party Parliamentary Group on Bangladesh, Member of Parliament for Poplar and Limehouse, Apsana Begum MP, alongside British Expertise International members.
