Liz Truss plotting reset of UK foreign and trade policy in style of Aukus deal

Sophia Gaston, director of the British Foreign Policy Group think-tank, said Truss’s diplomatic approach chimed with the “doctrine of adaptability” set out in the integrated review into the UK’s post-Brexit foreign policy earlier this year.

“The energetic new foreign secretary clearly believes this must be extended towards the scope of our alliances. Her focus will also be needed at home, identifying clear priorities to restore bandwidth and reinstate the influence of a more muscular."
